The first boy’s boarding house at the Swiss International Scientific School in Dubai (SISD) is now officially open.

Students from Grades 6-11 will have access to all campus facilities and the option between full-time, weekly and flexi boarding.

The fees for full boarding including tuition and boarding, starts at AED225,000 for Grade 6 and goes up to AED254,000. There's a non-refundable registration fee of AED50,000AED is required, which will be adjustable against the final annual payment.

The tuition and boarding fees at Repton School Dubai starts at AED136,221 for Grade 6 and AED169,325 for Grade 11 and 12.

The girl’s boarding will also be available from September 2018.

The boarding facilities have four floors with 14 rooms and en-suite bathrooms in each double room for a total capacity of 100 students per house.

Each floor has a fully equipped pantry room and there a community room. The dormitory building also features dedicated apartments for housemasters and tutors.

Head of School, Beat Sommer said: “Boarding allows children to develop a range of key life skills and prepares them for the future, whether it is for university or later in their careers. They learn skills such as organisation, leadership, self-confidence, self-sufficiency, empathy, responsibility and cultural agility.”

A YouGov survey in 2017 showed that Dubai was viewed as an ideal location for many living in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan to send children to boarding school.
