14th Place: Jumeirah College (90% would recommend)
As a GEMS school you would expect Jumeirah College to be well run, but JC has a quiet efficiency about it that makes it quite unique in Dubai. It is not as flashy as perhaps a GEMS World Academy, but year in, year out this is a school that produces the goods, turning out well rounded, confident young adults, the majority of whom do very well academically. It is unsurprising to WSA that this is GEMS' top performing school on a ranking for Most Recommended.
The school has firm foundations, first established in September 1999. It provides a UK based (English National Curriculum) secondary level curriculum to 1094 secondary stage students from 56 nationalities (with the biggest demographic being British). Supporting the students are 93 teaching staff including the Principal and senior leaders, and ten additional teachers or teaching assistants.
The school was again awarded an Outstanding rating in 2014/15 by the KHDA. It can now boast to have been considered outstanding for 6 of the 7 years the KHDA has been publishing its reports.
Only Kings' in Dubai can do one better and that only for the Primary School.
