17th Place: Al Yasmina School (83% would recommend)
In the six years of operation Al Yasmina – one of the Aldar Group of schools, the largest provider of private education in Abu Dhabi, has established itself as one of the capital's leading schools, a feat clearly well appreciated by its parents, over four out of five of whom would recommend it to other parents.
The school is currently rated A2 by the Abu Dhabi education authority, the highest grade it is currently awarding (2014 inspection). Al Yasmina was also the first school in the UAE to be rated "Well above the required standard" in all areas of its BSME inspection.
Students follow the GCSE curriculum until 16, and then choose A' Levels. More unusually the school offers BTEC qualifications, promoted in the United Kingdom to those students seeking a vocational route within education. Subjects are however limited.
Fees at Yasmina are premium for Abu Dhabi, starting at 41,580 and rising to 57,330 AED by Year 13.
