It just goes to show that parents do know a good school when they see one. LFIGP is the first French language school in the UAE to win an Outstanding rating by the KHDA, Dubai's education regulator. It's all the more impressive given this was a school rated Satisfactory as recently as 2009-10.
What has it done? Year on year it has been improving both attainment and progress in English, Match and Science, teaching quality, its curriculum and its leadership - a fact clearly not lost on its parents, all of whom responding to our survey give it two thumbs up,
It helps the school is small - with just 385 pupils - and highly focused around the KG age group. It also helps that teachers remain in school, providing a constant with parents - the school recorded a 0% turnover in teachers in the last academic year. The school is located in Oud Metha, one of the older areas of the city, and lacks the large outdoor space and more modern facilities of other international schools – including its sister school at Academic City, to which students from the Primary school gain automatic entry. Evidently, though, the more traditional, homier surroundings of the original school site add to the charm and the evident popularity of the school among students, families and staff.
