LET'S GO

Although DBS- Jumeirah Park may have opened its doors for Years 1 to 6 back in September 2015, tomorrow (28th August) will see the school launch its Secondary section.

The Primary has done really rather well by new school standards, and already accommodates 450 students between Year 1 and Year 6.

Owners, Taaleem will naturally be hoping that the Secondary section will do equally well, and the figures are looking good, with three forms for Year 7 and one form for Year 8.

Which Facilities are Shared with the Primary? The Secondary students will make use of much of what is already established at DBS-JP, such as the communal dining room together with the popular Rhodes Dining Experience.

Secondary students will have the choice of either the meal programme or choosing options from the school cafe.

Performing Arts Facilities: These are also shared with the Primary school and include: the 550 seat performing arts theatre, drama and dance studios, various music and recording practice rooms and school radio and recording facilities.

Are There Outdoor facilities? Yes, these include: football and tennis courts, shaded learning facilities and outdoor play areas.

What About Sports Facilities? The indoor sports facilities are also shared and include: a multipurpose sports hall, multi-purpose court, an 8 lane pool with an additional beginners pool.

Are the Classrooms Fully Equipped? The Secondary will see the opening of several new facilities at the school. One of the most impressive is the modern and well equipped Design and Technology suite.

What Tech Facilities are available at DBS-JP? DBS-JP Primary students already utilise the ICT rooms, however, this year will see the launch of the new robotics suite.

While the food technology suite might have been ready since 2015, it's only now the Secondary is opening, that it will come into use.

Parental Information: The new Secondary school uniforms (designed by Year 6 students) are available through the school. Transport has been arranged through Arabian Falcon. For more information about DBS- Jumeirah Park, please see here.
