Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) formerly ADEC, has announced a shift in inspection cycle for schools rated Outstanding and Very Good.

Top schools in Abu Dhabi will now be inspected every four years instead of the previous two-year cycle.

The change will come into effect immediately and will alter the inspection cycle of any school which achieves a Very Good or Outstanding rating for three or more consecutive inspection cycles.

According to the National, these schools will also be “requested to provide support for low performing schools,” as an indicator of ADEK’s “trust and confidence in their overall performance.”
