A new UK curriculum school, Newlands School, is set to open September 2017.
Located in Al Warqaa area, the school will cater for the Mirdif, Al Warqaa, Al Mizhar, Al Khawaneej and Muhaisanah areas of Dubai.
The school aims to offer a high quality, international education at extremely affordable fees.
The KHDA approved fees range from AED 19,200 for Foundation 1 to AED 26,400 in Year 6.
In addition, the School will offer a 10% founding fee discount for the first year and five full academic scholarships for Emirati girls.
The School will initially cater for children aged from 3 to 11 but will expand over the following years to include Secondary and GCSE/A Level examinations.
Newlands School promises specialist art, media and music rooms, as well as dedicated ICT labs and even coding rooms.
In addition, it promises to be an inclusive school, with a dedicated special educational needs resource centre.
According to the press release, the School plans to establish an “all-round environment that celebrates the cultural setting of Dubai, the Arabic language, Islamic values and Emirati innovation and achievement.”
Mrs. Nasreen Kasuri, the founder and chairperson for Newlands School said, “we feel privileged to be able to offer a world-class English curriculum at affordable fees to discerning families in Dubai.”
“Newlands School represents our 42 years of delivering the UK national curriculum and, in particular, IGCSE, O and A Level results across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oman.”
