Dubai is set to host an Arabic language SEN conference later this week, with SEN experts leading discussions on integration, curricula and teaching methodology.

The upcoming SEN conference organised by Ishara Consultants, hopes to attract Arabic speakers working within the SEN field.

According to WAM, the event will be held at the Jood Palace Hotel in Al Rigga, on 7th and 8th March is being organised by Ishara Consultants under the patronage of Al Maktoum Charity Foundation.

It is hoped the conference will attract all Arabic speakers working in the field of Special Educational Needs.

Officials from the Ministry of Education will attend the event together with sector experts.

Managing director at Ishara Consultants, Maalainine Salama, said he hopes the event will see attendees, “debate practices, strategies and the latest trends in methods of teaching and integrating students with special needs into schools.”

The event also plans to tackle the challenges faced by curricula planners and those developing Individual Learning Plans.

''The conference aims to increase awareness about the importance of integration in delivering educational reforms and reducing the gap between theory and practice in integration,'' said Maalainine Salama.
