LET'S GO

WhichSchoolAdvisor.com went along to see how students at the new Dubai Heights were settling in to their brand new school... The British curriculum school located in Al Barsha, launched successfully and on-time in early September 2017.

Although there is still building work ongoing at the Secondary section and elements to finish at the Primary, the Foundation building is fully-finished and is currently accommodating the 50 new students.

The Foundation block's curvaceous design of light-filled classrooms located around a central courtyard lends itself well to the 'community feel' principal Andrew Prosser plans to create across the new school.

Dubai Heights opened from FS1 to Year 4 in September, and currently operates one class per Year group. When complete the school will offer five forms per Year.

Set for total completion at the beginning of 2018, the students will remain in the Foundation building until the next academic year, although they will utilise the specialist rooms located in the Primary when required.

The school has further community building projects in the pipeline, one of the most innovative is the introduction of mother and baby/toddler activities available within the school.

Starting over the next few weeks, Prosser has launched Mother and Baby swimming classes, with Baby Pilates, Baby Yoga and Toddler Music classes launching soon. Classes are available to everyone, not only current parents at the school.

Admissions are still open at Dubai Heights, and the school is offering a three-year Founders discount for families who join during the 2017/18 academic year.

Founders Fees are AED 37,570 for FS1 to AED 49,640 and are inclusive of school uniforms, text books and extra-curricular activities.
