The Aldar Academies Jiu-Jitsu Cup, held in partnership with the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation and Palm Sports, saw six schools compete in a tournament which saw 120 students aged four to 15 years from across six schools competed to be the champion fighter in their category.

The host participants from Al Mamoura Academy put on a strong performance, becoming the winning school overall, followed by the ADNOC Schools team in second and The Pearl Academy in third pace.

Nilay özral, Aldar Academies CEO, said:

“This is a sport that demands great physical ability and a high degree of mental discipline to succeed - both of which will serve our young students well in the future. This is why the UAE’s leadership is aiming to make Jiu-Jitsu a national sport, and why Aldar Academies actively supports their vision to do so through today’s annual event.”

The tournament also saw a demonstration by the UAE's military. The UAE Junior National Team also faced each other in a series of super fights.
