ADEK has announced it is looking for investors for three new schools in the city, to open by 2020/2021.

The two American curriculum schools will be located in Al Maqtaa and Khalifa City, while the UK curriculum school will also be built in Khalifa City and accommodate 2,200 students.

The authority announced the plan for the three new schools at a workshop for investors and operators held in Abu Dhabi earlier this month.

Investors applying will be selected by ADEK according to their qualifications and proposals, reported Gulf News on Thursday.

Interestingly, the US curriculum school located in Al Maqtaa will have a capacity of 900 students and 40 percent of these are expected to be "students of determination" (children with Special Educational Needs).
