A new batch of 45 ADEC inspection reports were released today.

Although no schools in this group were considered Outstanding, both UK curriculum Cranleigh Abu Dhabi and the French curriculum Lycee Louis Massignon were moved up from previous A3 ratings to A2, Very Good ratings by the authority.

Cranleigh was rated Outstanding for almost all Foundation stage indicators, its curriculum and learning skills, with Outstanding teaching also recognised  at Foundation level.

At the Lycee Louis Massignon, inspectors noted Outstanding student behaviour to learning, noting that student relationships towards their peers and teachers were mutually respectful and attendance at the school considered high.

Eleven schools were rated Good, these were: ADNOC Private School Ruwais, Al Basma British School, Al Dhabiania School, Bright Riders School, Emirates National School- Al Ain, GEMS United Indian School, International Community School Branch 1, Mayoor Private School, Rosary Private School, The Gulf International Private Academy and the International Indian School.

A further 21 schools were considered Satisfactory/Acceptable by the authority and nine rated Weak.

Al Tharwat National Private School was the only school in this latest round of inspections to be considered Very Weak by the inspection teams.

Two Philippine curriculum schools, Baraem Al Ain Private School and the Philippine Emirates Private School were inspected and both found to be Acceptable.

In total, nine Indian schools were inspected, of which four were rated Good, four rated Acceptable and one Weak.

ADEC is expected to release one further batch of 2016/17 inspection reports sometime later this summer.
