LET'S GO

A new Indian curriculum school which was due to open this week has put back its opening for a minimum of three weeks.  The Abu Dhabi Indian School, a not-for-profit operation, will eventually welcome 1,800 students from KG to Grade 5.  Students from grades 6 to 12 will be accepted next year in the second phase of opening.

Officials at the school have been in close contact with the regulator Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) and believe that lost time will be made up through an extension of the coming school year.  The school has advised parents to keep close watch on their website for details on the revised opening date.  It expects to be able to announce this some time over the next week.
