LET'S GO

The 2017 A Level results will be released on Thursday 17th August, as will the UCAS university acceptances, but of course you already know that!

However, here are some things you might not know…

Although your grades/results are not available via UCAS Track online system, most of your university acceptance information is!

To access the UCAS Track site you will need to ensure you have your login details and all your personal information is up to date.

As the UAE is three hours ahead of UK GMT, the UAE’s students will have to wait a little later in the day to find out their university acceptance.

This means by 11am (8am UK time) the UCAS Track website SHOULD be updated and you will be able to find out if you have been accepted to the university of your choice.

(UCAS Track receives the results a day BEFORE you do, this means that you should have your university acceptance information BEFORE your actual A Level results.)

While UCAS Track states your university acceptance it DOES NOT detail you’re actual A Level results.

Remember- Thousands of students are trying to log onto the UCAS Track website, this means its very likely to be slow and/or not updating effectively.

If the UCAS Track system is still showing ‘Conditional Firm’ then your results have not been added yet, try not to worry and wait a few minutes.

  • If UCAS Track states ‘Unconditional’ then you have been accepted
  • If UCAS Track has not updated your data by 2pm, then it’s time to phone the university and find out why they are still deliberating your acceptance

When your place has been confirmed UCAS will email you a AS12 letter, five to seven days later.

Read it carefully and make a printed copy of the letter, (you will need it as proof when organising your university services).

Although some universities do not require you to do anything to confirm your place, others do, it is ESSENTIAL to follow the AS12 instructions, to complete your university acceptance process.
