Two Emirati siblings aged 13 and 11 are all set for their US degree.

The two very bright young students, Adeeb Al Balushi, 13, and his 11-year-old sister Dana are the first two Emirati students to be enrolled at the Charter College of Education, at the California State University in Los Angeles.

The university, for the first time, has accepted these children from this region to join its programme that “offers a coordinated, trans disciplinary approach to the education of children and youth”.

This programme accepts "bright students" between the ages of 11 and 15. Once they graduate from this programme, they are able pursue a postgraduate degree.

The Al Balushi siblings have been making headlines for quite some time. Adeeb at nine was recognized for inventing a light-weight prosthetic limb for his father. He also made a cleaning robot to help his mum.

He has also invented a fireproof helmet with a camera to help see in emergencies.

His sister Dana was the youngest Emirati to be trained at the US-based National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
