What: Get out of town for an adventure packed day

For: The whole family

Cost: Dhs 150 per adult and Dhs100 for under 12s for the whole day

Age: All ages

Where: Umm Al Quwain

When: Open daily

What Is It: A gorgeous club waaaaay out of town offering a whole host of kid friendly and adventurous activities including: rock climbing, a maze, sea kayak rental, stand-up paddle boarding, windsurfing, camping, pool and restaurant. Boat activities cost extra and include boat hire with ‘skipper’ available for wake boarding, water skiing, banana boat rides and deep sea fishing on request.

African Safari Experience At Al Ain Zoo

What: Tour the African animals onboard a safari vehicle

For: Everyone who loves animals

Cost: Dhs 100 per person (plus zoo entrance fee)

Age: 8 years +

Where: Al Ain Zoo, Al Ain

When: Three trips per day: 10.30am/1.15pm/3pm

What Is It: Haven’t made it to Kenya yet? Well don’t worry- because now you don’t actually need to! Join the Al Ain safari truck as it drives through the African animal exhibit for 40 minutes of safari adventure with your very own guide.

The vehicle takes 6 people and should be booked in advance.

X Dubai Skate Park

What: The region’s biggest skate park

For: Skaters and all 'wanna-bes'

Cost: FREE

Age: 6+ (from 12pm no under 10s on Friday/Saturday)

Where: Kite Beach, Jumeirah, Dubai

What Is It: A skate park for skaters-by skaters. For beginners through to those who know what they’re doing the park has  29 obstacles including: 2 Bowls, 11 bowled corners, 3 flatbanks,  1 crater, Street elements, 2 hubbas, 1 up-down rails, 1 kicker to flatbank, 2 kicker to hubba, 1 kicker to kicker, 1 pole jam and 1 suspended wall.
