Al Qusais Area Guide
Al Qusais or Al Gusais is one of Dubai's older communities, located in the Deira area towards Sharjah. It borders Hor Al Anz and Al Twar and is further subdivided into residential and industrial zones.
The community is also adjacent to Dubai airport making it very convenient for regular travellers.
That said, it is not the most salubrious or modern of areas, with new Dubai having taken hold of the city's wealthier citizenry and the sky rise towers to house them. What the community lacks in terms of glitz however it makes up for in affordability, a wealth of schools, cheap eateries and down to earth living.
No one is going to be inspired by a visit to Al Qusais, but your wallet and perhaps soul will feel sweet relief from Dubai's shinier, more demanding locales.
