The all-through St Stephen’s International School, Khao Yai delivers a British education at one of the most scenic campuses in Thailand.

There aren’t many schools that can boast such a setting as St Stephen’s International School, Khao Yai. Surrounded by the Khao Yai National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this all-through day and boarding school offers a British education in an idyllic natural setting.

SIS Khao Yai’s English-based curriculum incorporates the International Primary Curriculum (IPC); teachers also follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at nursery level, and the National Curriculum for England for literacy and numeracy at primary and secondary levels. SIS delivers a well-rounded, inquiry-based learning path that works towards IGCSEs in Year 11.

It’s a fairly small school with a decent offering of extra-curricular activities and educational trips. It’s a well-equipped campus with a swimming pool, full-size football pitch, three tennis courts, large gymnasium with two full-size basketball courts, performance stage, music rooms, science and ICT labs, and a design technology workshop. As well as being next to a nine-hole golf course, the campus has an outdoor education centre (The Howling Gibbon Centre) which is also used by students from the SIS Bangkok campus and other visiting schools.

Around 30% of the students are boarders, mostly local children coming from Bangkok or northern Thailand.
