Singapore International School of Bangkok's first campus has a long tradition of teaching a Singaporean and UK curriculum to nursery and primary children living in the capital.
There’s a strong academic focus at the Singapore International School of Bangkok (SISB), which offers the Singapore and UK curricula and a trilingual programme in English, Thai and Chinese. Founded in 2001, SISB has expanded to five campuses in Bangkok and northern Thailand – Pracha Uthit, Ekkamai, Suvarnabhumi, Thonburi and Chiang Mai. It has a total student population of more than 2,000 mainly Singaporean children.
Opened in 2001 as the first SISB in Thailand, the Ekkamai campus is home to a primary school for two to nine-year-olds. Facilities on this cosy and charming campus include a library, IT lab, music room, swimming pool, gym and spacious play areas. Throughout the primary school, teaching follows the Singaporean curriculum, which is renowned for its excellence in maths and science. Students typically move to SISB’s Pracha Uthit campus to continue their secondary education, when they work towards exams including the Singapore iPSLE, IGCSEs and A Levels.
In line with all SISB schools, the Ekkamai campus runs a trilingual programme across all levels and teaches lessons in English, Chinese and Thai. The opportunity to immerse your child in a trilingual programme from a very young age is certainly something very special. Learning at SISB is enriched with various extra-curricular activities, leadership roles and field trips.
