Originally founded as a kindergarten in 1998, IPS has grown into a popular British school that teaches the National Curriculum for England from Early Years through to Year 13. It closely follows the UK system, and offers both IGCSEs and A Levels as well as Cambridge Checkpoint Exams throughout primary and secondary school. Although the name suggests that IPS is very much a progressive school, there is little evidence of any innovation or pioneering programmes here.
In its own words IPS offers a "quality affordable education' to the international community as well as the Thai populace". Its tuition fees are certainly at the lower end of the scale, and it does appear to offer a well-rounded education that focuses on academics, sport, and the arts. Its city centre campus does lacks the state-of-the-art facilities of other schools in the city, though, and has just a basketball court and futsal playground for sport.
The school currently has 450 students from over 15 nationalities.
