One of the oldest international schools in Chiang Rai, Chiang Rai International School (CRIS) has a reputation for its rigorous US-style academic programme - and a junior golfing programme.
Chiang Rai International School (CRIS) is an all-through day and boarding school for kindergarten through to Grade 12. Nicknamed the Eagles, CRIS is a school that balances a strong focus on maths and science in the classroom with a passion for competitive sport, golf and extra-curricular activities.
CRIS offers a standards-based US curriculum that is aligned with the Common Core Standards and California State Standards, and it introduces Singapore's maths curriculum at high school level. As well as teaching English, maths, science and social studies, the school focuses on PE, music, art, Chinese, ICT, Christianity, and Thai language and culture.
Located around 3km north of Chiang Rai's city centre, CRIS has all the facilities you'd expect from a top-class international school, and it is well equipped to teach specialist subjects including the arts, ICT, PE and swimming across its sprawling green campus. The school makes full use of its land with a purpose built, state-of-the-art short game golfing area, where students can attend beginner after-school golf programmes. CRIS students also have the opportunity to further their game at the nearby Happy City Golf & Resort.
