Families living in Bangkok may have plenty of British schools to choose from, but Charter International School is most certainly one of the cheapest – and greenest.

Charter ticks all the boxes for a British education with its offering of the Early Years Foundation Scheme (EYFS) and the National Curriculum for England to students at Nursery level through to Year 13. For anyone looking for British qualifications, Charter teaches IGCSEs in Years 10 and 11, and A Levels in Years 12 and 13.

Since opening in 2003, Charter has developed into a small all-through school with just over 300 students from more than 25 nationalities. To offer more insight into the school's well-rounded education, its learner outcomes focus on critical thinking, social responsibility, effective communication, and academic success.

Teaching follows the EYFS at Nursery and Reception level, and includes English and numeracy, expressive arts and design, PE, Thai language, and technology. At primary school, students study the core subjects: science, history, geography, computing, art, and design and technology, plus specialist classes in Mandarin (from Year 3), music, PE, swimming, and Thai. Moving up to secondary school and students have a decent choice of IGCSE and A Level subjects to help prepare them for further education.

Charter has a welcoming, colourful, and beautifully landscaped campus that is equipped with specialist classrooms, two indoor basketball courts, gymnastic room, sports fields, swimming pools, a theatre, and libraries.
