California Prep International School Review
Located in the central province of Saraburi, California Prep International School (CPIS) is an all-through school that takes students from kindergarten through to high school (Grade 12). CPIS describes itself as an e-learning primary school where students work primarily on laptops and all textbooks are in digital format. The school also embraces the idea of blended learning, which means that while students have face-to-face instructional lessons, they also have the flexibility to complete their classwork online from any location. It is one of two such schools to pioneer e-learning; the other is American Prep International School (APIS) in southern Thailand.
Founded in 2010, CPIS follows the California State Education Department curriculum, which includes English language, maths, science, business studies, social studies, Thai, and Chinese. Its holistic programme also focuses on IT and values, and it supports talented and gifted students through various scholarships and programmes in academia, sport, and the arts. Teachers are recruited from Thailand and overseas.
