British Columbia International School of Bangkok Review
British Columbia International School of Bangkok is one of a kind in Thailand. Here's a Canadian international school that is the only school in the country to offer the globally renowned British Columbia (BC) curriculum. Located in Bangkok's Bang Wa business district, this small all-through school teaches Kindergarten through to Grade 12.
Here's a school that says, "education is about more than just narrating content from books while students take notes". Certified Canadian teachers follow the BC curriculum, which has a reputation for outperforming all other Canadian educational programmes. Students graduate from the school with a British Columbia Canadian School Certificate of Graduation (Dogwood diploma), as well as a diploma accredited by the Thai government.
In terms of technology, all students from Grade 6 have access to a personal Chromebook that is loaned to them from the school; there is also a growing programme of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths) activities across the curriculum.
Founded in 2007, the Bangkok school is part of a network of 40 British Columbia Offshore schools, which has campuses in China, Columbia, France, Japan, Qatar, and the UAE.
