Ascot International School is a British-style school that enhances the UK curriculum with its teaching of Mandarin and the IDBP.

There is a strong degree Britishness to Ascot International School, from its teaching of the National Curriculum for England through to its football training academy. Founded in 1997, this kindergarten/primary/secondary school has also embraced its international setting by adding Mandarin, Thai, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) to the curriculum.

Learning throughout nursery, kindergarten, and reception is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage Programme and includes child-initiated learning and outdoor learning; specialist classes include PE, swimming, music, Thai, and Mandarin. Moving up to primary school and teachers follow the National Curriculum for England, with specialist classes in PE, music, Thai, and Mandarin.

The secondary curriculum continues to follow the framework of the National Curriculum for England and works towards IGCSEs at the end of Year 11. Compulsory IGCSE subjects include the core subjects, ICT, business studies or economics, PE, Thai learning and culture, and PSE; optional subjects include humanities, English literature, art, and Mandarin. Students then study the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in Years 12 – 13.

Beyond the classroom students have plenty of opportunities to act, perform, and play sport; the school is most famous for its Ascot Football Academy (AFA). The Ascot calendar is filled with seasonal events, residential visits, house days, and concerts.

Ascot caters for all age groups with facilities including science labs; an ICT and electronics suite; music, art, and music rooms; student lounge and research library for Years 12 and 13; gymnasium; swimming pool and paddling pool; football pitch; play areas; and a mud kitchen.
