American Pacific International School's Primary Campus is one of only a few international schools in Chiang Mai to offer the popular Primary Years Programme.

American Pacific International School (APIS) delivers an international education to primary students at the heart of the city centre. Open since 2000, APIS' primary campus teaches kindergarten through to Grade 5. Its students typically move onto the school's Main Boarding Campus (MBC), which has a primary (Grade 1-6) and secondary school (Grade 7-12); as the name suggests, it offers both day and boarding places.

Teaching staff are mainly recruited from the US and the curriculum follows the International Baccalaureate's Primary Years Programme from the age of three. The school is well-equipped to deliver all aspects of this inquiry-based programme with facilities include stimulating classrooms, a library, play areas and a swimming pool.
