If a university makes you an offer in Clearing, they will confirm this in an email to you and give you a specified time period for you to accept the offer.
You then need to log into UCAS Track system. Click 'Add Clearing choice' and fill in the course details by the date the university/college gave you. This counts as you accepting the offer, so if they confirm, it'll show as an acceptance on your 'Choices' page in your application.
You can only add a Clearing choice to your application from 1pm (UK time) on August 17.
If you originally only applied for one course for the reduced fee of £22.50, you'll have to pay an additional £4.50 to apply for a place through Clearing.
Many universities will arrange open and visit days for Clearing students, so you can meet staff from your course and take a tour of our campus facilities. These may be as early as the day after results day (August 18), so be ready!
Alternatively, see if they have a virtual tour or open day on their website
If you're applying for a university place through Clearing, availability in the university’s halls of residence and other accommodation may be limited.
Some universities do reserve accommodation for Clearing students, and you’ll need to apply quickly to get a place. Alternatively, universities will be able to share recommended private accommodation.
If you haven’t yet completed your student finance application, you will need to apply as soon as you confirm your Clearing place. Click here for more details.
If you’ve already applied but your choice of university or course has changed, you will need to update these details on your online UK student finance account.
