Western Thailand is a mountainous region that's as famed for its dense forests and nature reserves as it is its unspoiled coastline. It's a quick and easy commute from Bangkok to the coastal beach resorts of Hua Hin, the historic temples of Phetchaburi, and the lush forests of Kaeng Krachan National Park. Here's a beautiful corner of Thailand where you can enjoy activities on and off the water including kayaking, diving, snorkelling, jungle trekking, whitewater rafting and quad biking – or simply relaxing on one of its beautiful beaches.
