Trehaus School, which has capacity for more than 100 students aged two months to six years, promises to deliver an “holistic, future-forward approach” to education that focuses on “building character and raising the next generation of changemakers”.
In 2016, Trehaus opened a combined co-working space and playgroup for children up to three years at Claymore Connect mall in Orchard Road. The opening of Trehaus School in 2019 marked its first move into pre-school education.
Teachers follow Trehaus' bespoke Littles Programme, which includes: Little CEO, to develop leadership and executive skills; Little Engineer, to focus on coding and robotics; Little Entrepreneur, to teach problem-solving, design-thinking, and entrepreneurial skills; and Little Philanthropist, to learn what it means to be a philanthropist.
“We believe that to build character, unlock creativity, inspire curiosity and ignite a true love for learning, we need to venture beyond the classrooms and academic- based teaching, and we are building a Silicon Valley-inspired preschool that’s unlike any other, to create what we believe early education needs to become,” says Carolina Sam, headteacher of Trehaus School.
“We believe in raising children who will not just think ‘What do I want to be when I grow up?’ – but ask ‘What do I want to do to make the world a better place?’”.
Facilities at the new school, which is located within Funan Mall in North Bridge Road, include an indoor playground, sandpit, beach caravan, glamping tents, and a parent cafe. Parents have the opportunity to pay a membership fee to use the village’s co-working space for both men and women, located next door to the school.
