Many international schools have frozen tuition fees, as well as additional costs such as capital levies, for the 2020-21 academic year. When you consider that schools typically increase fees by around 3-4%, this decision has offered parents some financial relief.
But what about the next academic year? How can you save on your child’s education for 2021-22? Well, the good news is that there is a small percentage of international secondary schools in Singapore offering a range of scholarships to 'deserving' students. Some of Singapore’s top schools have a scholarship programme that typically covers the tuition fees for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, and in some cases the two-year IGCSE programme. There are also art and sports scholarships available.
Several schools are offering sibling discounts and financial aid packages too.
