As well as offering the two-year IB Diploma Programme for 16-18 year-olds, the new College will offer a one-year IGCSE course and a 12-week Pre-IB academic booster programme for 15-16 year-olds.
Founded over 120 years ago, Westbourne School UK is a small co-educational boarding and day school for two to 18 year olds with a close-knit community of high achieving students. It has offered the IB Diploma Programme since 2008, one of the reasons why Westbourne has a growing international community of students. One of the UK’s leading independent schools in the smaller sixth forms category, the school's average IB score in 2021 was 39.
Westbourne College Sydney only opened in 2021, and its first cohort achieved a very high average score of 39.
Founding Principal, Stephen Keegan, said:
“This is an exciting time in Westbourne’s evolution, where we have a unique opportunity to build on our reputation for providing a world-class education for ambitious young learners, supported by the latest in technology and innovation, with unmatched global learning links.”
“We offer a future-ready approach, leveraged by exceptional relationships with universities globally, as well as with world-leading business school INSEAD."
