According to India’s Central Board of Education (CBSE), the overall pass rate across all subjects for the Grade 12 exams (not Singapore-specific) was 92.71%, with a total of 1,435,366 candidates sitting the exams. Across the 198 CBSE schools outside of India (“foreign schools”), there was a pass rate of 93.98%, with a total of 18,774 candidates sitting the exams.
For Grade 10 exams, the board reported an overall pass rate of 94.4% (2,093,978 candidates), with a pass rate of 97.29% (24,843 candidates) in schools outside of India.
Only one international school in Singapore offers the CISCE curriculum, DPS International School . Singapore's other three Indian schools offer the CBSE curriculum – GIIS SMART, NPS International School and Yuvabharathi International School.
The CBSE and CICSE are seen as the gateway to successful university entry for Grade 12 students or to the continuation to the final two pre-university years of study for those in Grade 10.

One of the first schools to share their results was GIIS SMART Campus, which is one of the biggest school groups offering the CBSE outside India. The GIIS SMART Campus is an all-through school taking students from two to 19 years, and it offers CBSE Classes 1 to 12 to a predominantly Indian student population.
GIIS SMART Campus reported that in the CBSE Grade 12, the school average was 85.8% and 12 students scored 99%. Nearly half the cohort scored above 90% marks, and more than 25% scored above 95% marks. 11 students scored 100/100 in various subjects.
In the Science Stream, the average was 88% and in the Commerce Stream the average was 80%.
In CBSE Grade 10, the school average was 86.3%, with one fourth of the cohort scoring 95% and above and nearly 50% scoring an overall 90% and above. Abhineet Kumar was the school topper with 98.2% marks, followed closely by Niranjan Kalaiselvan with 98%. Manan Ranjan and Mihika Yadav scored an overall of 97.4%.
