LET'S GO

The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is a comprehensive, thematic, creative curriculum for 5-11 year olds, with a clear process of learning and with specific learning goals for every subject, for international mindedness and for personal learning.

This is a comprehensive curriculum, based on the English National Curriculum with references to the UK Key Stages 1 and 2, but adapted for international schools, with reference to the IB (International Baccalaureate)) inquiry-based approach to learning. It takes a very creative, thematic approach to teaching and encourages students to research and ask questions about what really interests them.

The IPC's thematic Units of Learning cover subjects including art, geography, history, ICT and computing, music, science, society, technology, language and maths. Themes include Who Am I?, The Magic Toymaker, Buildings, Chocolate, Active Planet, Young Entrepreneurs, Mission to Mars, and What Price Progress.

Students are assessed in nine subjects – Art, Geography, History, ICT & Computing, Music, Physical Education, Science, Technology and International – at three key mileposts: 5-7 years, 7-9 years and 9-11 years.
