The not-for-profit Global Schools Foundation (GSF) opened this large school in August 2018; it is one of the first buildings in the government's Punggol Digital District. With capacity for up to 5,000 students this “school of the future” offers a virtual approach to learning and a strong focus on entrepreneurship and innovation, robotics and artificial intelligence, and design technology. It is certainly one of Singapore’s "most digitally-advanced" schools.

GIIS SMART Campus is the top-performing CBSE school in Singapore, low tuition fees, and dual pathways that follow the CBSE or IGCSEs and the IBDP.  The school also offers a English-Mandarin bilingual programme in Grades 1-5, which offers equal exposure to English and Mandarin as part of the curriculum and is closely aligned to the IB PYP.

There are virtual classrooms where students can ‘attend’ lectures held globally, digital classrooms equipped with iPads and SMART boards, and tools such as Augmented Reality (AR). State of the art technology  runs throughout the school, from cashless payment to a facial recognition ID system; there’s even talk of robots on campus in the future.

It had the opportunity to put its technology-driven campus to the test during the recent campus closures in Singapore, made due to the Covid-19 pandemic. During the closures, SMART continued to deliver all lessons according to the timetable via live teaching sessions.

The digitally-savvy GIIS SMART Campus is a high-achieving school with more affordable fees and a growing bilingual programme.
