Dover Court delivers a British-style curriculum, which is based on the English National Curriculum and works towards IGCSEs. The school offers students the choice at Sixth Form of the IB Diploma Programme or the BTEC International Level 2 in Business; from August 2021, subject to CPE approval, the school will also offer the International BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Business. It was the first international school in Singapore to offer college students this vocational alternative to the IBDP.
As a Nord Anglia school, Dover Court has a strong focus on STEAM and music, which is supported by its collaborations with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and The Juilliard School. It can also offer students access to online courses, global challenges and experiences as part of Nord Anglia’s global campus.
Dover Court is well-known for its support for children with special needs, and it offers provision for pupils that require small class size instruction. It is a cosy and welcoming campus with plenty of open, green space, and old and new buildings that feel more traditional than some of the newer schools in Singapore.
The general feedback from parents is that Dover Court is a community, family school that is wonderfully and academically inclusive. Teachers are caring and supportive, the charm of its older campus makes it all the more welcoming, the curriculum is creative and engaging. It adapts the National Curriculum for England for an international school setting, has a supportive family community, and a special needs' stream based on UK practice.
