Tanglin Trust School has more than 90 years’ experience delivering a British-based education to Singapore's international community. This large school uses a ‘schools within a school’ model to create a close-knit community, and students have access to some outstanding modern facilities including a Foley pit, visual effects studio, 40-seat screening room, and design and technology labs.

Tanglin is the only school in Singapore to offer both the IBDP and A Levels at sixth form level. This choice matters as it allows all rounders to follow the DP should they so wish, whilst those seeking specialisation can continue with a narrower set of A Levels. Both qualifications are accepted by universities around the world. In this regard it is worth pointing out its results in external examinations are deeply impressive, particularly its IBDP average. It will be helped in this regard by its ability to direct students to pathways that most suit them.

Key features of the curriculum include Latin in Years 7-9, life skills in Years 10-11, and a choice of Chinese, French and Spanish in Years 7-8. At the heart of the school is the TTS Foundation, which funds inspirational visitors and a sports and arts programmes. It’s an extremely well-run school with a strong pastoral system, an excellent academic record and a focus on learning beyond the classroom.

Tanglin is also the only school in Asia to be accredited to offer The Curiosity Approach, a UK-based approach that takes parts from Reggio, Steiner, Te Whariki and Montessori to create an early years’ programme focused on creating a culture of curiosity. The Curiosity Approach runs alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in the nursery at Tanglin Trust School to transform its youngest classes into “an even calmer and more tranquil learning environment”.

Renowned for its strong academics, well-rounded, confident students, and unique choice of pathways, it is highly regarded in the UK by both schools and universities. The school’s curriculum is strongly British in character and closely follows the national curriculum, and this continuity allows students to enter or re-enter the UK education system smoothly.
