An education at Nexus International School (Singapore) promises to be personalised, digital and inclusive. As well as having a strong focus on technology and offering a 1:1 laptop programme from Year 6, the school uses flexible learning spaces and team teaching to deliver personalised learning, and it has an inclusive admissions policy that welcome students of all abilities.
This is a school very much in a progressive mould, where lessons are held in open plan classrooms by teachers who do not ‘lead from the front’. As one of the smaller all-through schools in Singapore, Nexus has developed a strong parent community and it has a friendly and nurturing learning environment. The school will move to a new vertical campus in Geylang in 2020.
What the school says: “We recognise that everybody is different. Every learners journey is personal to them, and as educators our challenge is to identify what it is about each individual learner that helps them learn better and then tailor our teaching to that learner.”
