Located in the eastern corner of Singapore, Tampines and Pasir Ris (District 18) are two popular residential communities with plenty of family-friendly amenities – and oodles of local charm. While the district is home to some of Singapore’s more mature neighbourhoods, it is about to have a makeover as Pasir Ris will be revamped under the government’s Remaking Our Heartland (ROH) programme.

As well as close to Changi Airport, the district has moderately priced condos and apartments and plenty of well-established shops, leisure facilities, international schools, parks and amenities. While some may feel it is ‘far out of town’, others will enjoy the peace and quiet, rustic charm, and proximity to beach clubs.

Transport
The Simei, Tampines and Pasir Ris MRT stations take you into the CBD and round the corner to Changi Airport. Tampines and Pasir Ris also has easy access to the Tampines (TPE), Pan Island (PIE) and East Coast Parkway (ECP) Expressways.

Schools 
International schools include Middleton International School (Tampines), United World College of South East Asia, the Overseas Family School and The Japanese School, Singapore (Changi).

Healthcare
There are A&E departments at the centrally-located Changi Genera and Parkway East Hospital, as well as several GP clinics and medical centres. 

Shopping
The new Our Tampines Hub and Tampines Regional Centre covers most shopping needs, and the popular Parkway Parade and Eastpoint Mall are just a short drive away. There’s also an IKEA here!

Attractions
There are country clubs including the Tanah Merah Country Club and Laguna National Golf & Country Club. Events held at the nearby Singapore Expo, and entertainment at the Tampines Regional Centre and the new Our Tampines Hub. Nearby, you’ll find East Coast Park and Bedok Reservoir where you can enjoy free activities such as swimming and running, or pay for kayaking, yoga classes, the Forest Adventure aerial park and much more.

Bars and restaurants
Both Tampines and Paisr Ris have a wide choice of local eateries and fine dining restaurants.
