With a mission to serve those in the lower income bracket, Rosary school offers a lot for fees that range from AED 8,600 rising up to AED 9,000.
Behind the rather appealing cloisters like exterior, Rosary is actually a very large school. Offering education for girls and boys to Grade 4; Rosary becomes a girls-only school from Grade 5 and up. The school is currently home to more than 2,000 students taught in more than 80 Classrooms.
The majority of students at this Coptic run school are actually Muslim. To accommodate the mix of Muslim and Christian students, Rosary uses the time slots created by the MOE to teach Islamic and Arabic content for Muslim students, and to teach the Christian faith to the Christian students.
Overall, the school is clean, exceedingly well maintained, enthusiastically staffed and overall- inviting.
Whole school facilities include an impressive 700+ seat auditorium, large shared sports hall with raised seating and a swimming pool - which is currently not in use.
Students of the school live in Sharjah, Dubai and Ajman and seats are much sought after with a waiting list is currently around 2-300.
The Rosary Kindergarten is mixed, both boys and girls with 650 students across 13 classes in both FS1 and 2. Each class accommodates a maximum of 25 children.
The KG is housed separately on the right hand side of the plot, with its own indoor courtyard and shaded outdoor play area with modern play equipment.
The ground floor is allocated for FS1 while the first floor FS2. Each floor has an indoor playroom, Arabic activity room, art room, music room, indoor gym and shared clinic, ICT room, library and party room.
All classes are bright and well lit with double windows, interior windows and white boards. The school expects to install interactive televisions for the 2016/17 academic year.
The primary/secondary school located on the left hand side of the compound, accommodated Grades 1 to 3 on the first floor and the remainder on the first floor.
Classes reduce in number one the boys leave the school in year 4.
The primary/secondary school offers specialised science labs for biology, chemistry and physics, ICT rooms and an art room.
The Rosary School does not have the “bells and whistles” of many more expensive schools. There is no canteen, classrooms are functional and staff rooms are furnished with desks rather than sofas. The outdoor space, set in quadrangles, is similarly functional but allows children to run around in a relatively cool, shady environment. The garden area behind the Foundation building is a highlight and clearly carefully tended.
However, the school ensures that all the basics for learning in terms of space and resources are available in an environment that we are told is studious and highly focused, providing the best quality of education for families who cannot afford bells and whistles fees.
