Unsettled weather is continuing to affect schools in some regions with those in the Makkah region instructed to remain closed on Monday.
Rainfall is expected to range from from medium to heavy in areas including Jeddah, Rabigh, Taif, Jamum, Al Kamil, Khulais, Al Laith, Al Qunfudhah, Al Ardiyat, Adham, Maysan. The bad weather will last from Sunday evening and continue until Thursday.
Saudi Gazette reported that General Directorate of Education in the Jeddah governrate announced the decision to suspend in-person classes for students of schools in Jeddah, Rabigh, and Khulais on Monday was based on the safety of students and staff.
