Al Mohammadiyah Area Guide
Running to the north of the city, Al Mohammediyah or Al Mohammediyyah is a district contained by the airport on one side, and the coast on the other. As such there's a lot going on just outside of the area that's easy to get to - within it it's a little low key - as befits one of the city's consulate areas. One mall, Aya mall, provides retail therapy, although there is an automall if you're looking for a car.
Available accommodation in the area is very mixed and largely basic villas and apartments, although parts do feel more upmarket.
The area contains two of the best international schools in the city, American International School of Jeddah, which lives in a modern purpose built campus near the American consulate, and the British International School, Jeddah. Other consulates in the area include the consulate of Oman, Nepal, Uzbekistan...
