Lantau International School (Pui O Upper Primary) is a small primary school offering a UK-style education in a beautiful natural setting.

Lantau International School (Pui O Upper Primary) is part of a family of schools that offer a British education to families in Lantau Island, from reception through to Primary 6. Teaching follows the UK National Curriculum and students are assessed using the UK’s Key Stage 1 tests, known as SATS. Mandarin is taught from reception onwards.

Established in 1995, LIS has three campuses in some of Lantau Island’s most scenic locations – a kindergarten at Cheung Sha, a lower primary school in Tong Fuk, and the upper primary in Pui O. LIS currently has 14 classes for around 300 students across its campuses, and class sizes are 22 at lower primary and 24 in upper primary.

Surrounded by national parks, mountains and the sea, LIS claims to have “the greenest environment any school in Hong Kong has to offer”.
