Concordia International School is a college-prep school with a large population of Chinese, Korean and Japanese expat students.

Located in Kowloon, Concordia International School (CISHK) is a secondary school offering a US-style education to students in Grades 7 to 12. The curriculum is built upon the US Common Core Standards. This is a popular US framework for curriculum consistency across grades K-12, and usually means that we can expect a strong focus on the arts, language, maths, science, PE and social studies. Students’ progress is tracked by SATS and seniors in Grades 10 to 12 enrol in Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

CISHK claims to offer a “rigorous curriculum” that focuses on the core four academic disciplines: English, maths, science and social science. Students also study electives in art, computer studies, Chinese studies and drama, and all grades are enrolled in a 1:1 MacBook programme.

Prospects for studying at a university in the US are high. CISHK has partnerships with Concordia Universities in the US, and qualifying graduates have a guaranteed acceptance to these universities and are eligible for financial scholarship.

The curriculum is enhanced with a Global Leadership Programme and service learning, weekly sports activities at the King’s Park Centenary Centre of YMCA, an athletics programme, house activities, extra-curricular activities including Model United Nations and the World Scholar's Cup, and Chinese lessons.
