LET'S GO

Hong Kong’s largest education group, the English Schools Foundation (ESF), had 15 top scorers among its cohort of IBDP students in the 2017-18 academic year. It’s an incredible achievement, and one that helped them to an average well above the Hong Kong's score of 35.96.

More: The school round-up - IBDP results so far!

In 2016-17 there were just 278 students who achieved the top score of 45, which is just 0.44% of all candidates worldwide.

We talk to 2018's top scorers from ESF Island School, ESF King George V School and ESF Sha Tin College – to find out how active studying, a good work-life balance, time management and supportive friends are key to success. They also told us that the IB is not just about scoring points – it’s about developing critical thinking skills, becoming resilient and organised, and finding your own areas of interests.
