British public school Wycombe Abbey will open a new primary school on Hong Kong Island in August 2019. Applications are now open for Wycombe Abbey School Hong Kong, which will offer a bilingual education for Grades 1-6 (five to 10 years) at its campus in the Southern District's Tin Wan.

Wycombe Abbey School Hong Kong will deliver a bespoke British curriculum that blends the UK National Curriculum with the Hong Kong curriculum, and is "fully bilingual and bicultural in Chinese and English". The school also promises to offer "an inspiring choice of different activities, from individual and team sports to creative arts, music, drama and much, much more, in an exciting range of teams, clubs and societies."

The new school is the second international opening for this leading UK independent school group, which opened Wycombe Abbey International School, Changzhou in China in 2016. There are also plans to open Wycombe Abbey International School Hangzhou in September 2020.
