The Lycée Français Internationale de Hong Kong (French International School of Hong Kong) is a well-established all-through school that offers a French and international education to students across four campuses. FIS follows two streams – French and international – and at primary level the French stream offers the choice of classes in French with English taught as a second language or bilingual classes in French and English.

French-English bilingual classes start from Moyenne Section (MS) and follow the French curriculum. In the bilingual programme, each class has two teachers: one a native French speaker, the other a native English speaker. Half the curriculum is taught in French, and half in English. At secondary level (from Year 7/6eme), all students take bilingual classes.

There’s a primary school at the Jardine's Lookout, Chai Wan and Hung Hom campuses, and a secondary school at the Blue Pool Road campus in Happy Valley. A fifth campus is due to open in Tseung Kwan O in August 2018.

The school says: “From September 2018, all MS classes will benefit from our new immersive bilingualism pedagogical project and, consequently, there are no more non-bilingual MS classes…Over 90% of students are bilingual/trilingual when they graduate from FIS.”
