The Carmel School Association family of schools offers an all-through Jewish education at its three campuses – the Holly Rofe Early Learning Centre, Carmel Elementary School, and Elsa High School. While the school is popular with the Hong Kong Jewish community, it is also open to students of all nationalities and faiths.
This small, close-knit Jewish day school offers a unique curriculum that combines the International Baccalaureate programmes with Modern Orthodox principles, Jewish studies, and a focus on Israeli history. It also delivers a well-rounded education that includes a strong focus on service learning, a very active student council, after-school programmes in creative, academic, sporting and service fields, and a competitive sports programme. Elsa High School is one of Hong Kong’s top ranking schools for the IBDP, and its average score is consistently above the global average.
What the school says: “Carmel is committed to teaching students about, and fostering a love for, Jewish values and traditions, and the Land and State of Israel, its language and culture.”
