Nord Anglia International School, Hong Kong (NAIS) delivers a British-style curriculum, which is based on the English National Curriculum and works towards IGCSEs. The school will introduce the IB Diploma Programme (Years 12-13) in August 2019 to offer a much-needed post 16-option.

As a Nord Anglia school, NAIS has a strong focus on STEAM and music, which is supported by its collaborations with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and The Juilliard School. It can also offer students access to online courses, global challenges and experiences as part of Nord Anglia’s global campus. There’s a strong focus on specialist teaching in art, music, drama, PE and Mandarin; Spanish is taught from Year 5 upwards.

In just three short years, NAIS has made quite an impression within Hong Kong thanks to its impressive facilities, strong leadership from principal Brian Cooklin, personalised learning programme, and more than 120 extra-curricular activities. While it has a very international study body there is a strong British influence here, and the school has quickly built up a close-knit community with its vertical house system. NAIS opened early years’ campuses in Sai Kung and Tai Tam in 2017, which follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) for nursery and reception years (aged three to five).

What the school says: “As a Nord Anglia Education school, we believe that: there is no limit to what every student can achieve; creativity and challenge help us get better every day; learning should be personalised to each child, and unique global opportunities enhance every student’s learning experience.”
