9th Place. Abu Dhabi University
Established in 2003, the Abu Dhabi University is one of more well-known universities in the UAE, and is accredited by the MOHESR.
With over 4000 students, it also has a branch campus situated in Al Ain that offers a select number of programmes.
Although Abu Dhabi University offers some of the more common courses like the BBA, MBA and IT courses, it also offers a number of more unique courses to choose from - for example, Persian Language and Arts, and Culture and Heritage. Note: most other universities in the UAE have a limited language offering - more specifically, focusing in on English and Arabic.
Most of the faculty at Abu Dhabi University are of Arab/Asian origin, and its student population is predominantly from Arab families.
Evidence of student support is not available. Recently, the university has been faced with cases academic dishonesty among both students and faculty, and has been battling to put adequate processes in place to address these issues.
