Most Recommended Schools in the UAE

18th Place: Emirates International Jumeirah (80% would recommend)

Rated Good since inspections began by Dubai's education regulator, the KHDA, EIS Jumeirah has improved its approval rating considerably since 2013 when it achieved a recommendation rating of 63% (still above average). The school, established in 1991, follows the PYP IB curriculum in Primary, the Cambridge International Secondary curriculum and IGCSE at Secondary and then IB Diploma programme for the final two years, and is home to approximately 2000 students, from KG1 to Grade 13.

The school performs well in external examinations. From “94 IB Diploma candidates 84 achieved the full IB Diploma (89%) with an average point score of 33, which is more than 3 points above international averages and is equivalent to 3A grades and 1B at A-level (according to UCAS tariffs for university entry).” For IGCSE, 171 of the 221 students entered achieving 5 A* to C. This is all the more impressive as the school is an inclusive school and many children arrive with limited language skills who then go on to do well in public examinations. (Based on 2013/14 data - the last we have seen.)

Fees are mid to premium - but not out of the ordinary for an IB based school, starting at 31,000 AED and rising to 65,347 AED.
